2 – Installation:

  1. Read and accept this: Warning to read before anything else!
  2. Unzip the contents of the Zip file to the root of an SD card
  3. Go to the PersonalPOI directory of your memory card
  4. If you’re using the ZIP with one file per country:
    • Rename the file of the country you’re interested in by removing the country’s name.
    • E.g., FRANCE-PersonalPOIs.gpx becomes PersonalPOIs.gpx
    • Delete all other files
  5. Copy the PersonalPOIs.gpx file to the SD card
  6. Insert the card into your GPS
  7. Start your car
  8. Click on the NAVI button on the dashboard
  9. Click on the NAVI icon at the top left of the screen then on the Personal POI icon and validate
  10. The import begins
  11. Once the import is finished, you can check the data by clicking on “Display Personal POI on MAP”

Tip from Negggy:

The radar icon on the COMAND is too small and in my version (before July 2013) there’s no activatable sound alert. Only a visual alert = a yellow circle around the icon when approaching.
I replaced the proposed icon with a slightly larger red heart (COMAND’s icon library) so when a radar is approaching, I can see it better out of the corner of my eye.
