Over the years, Lufop.net has become a go-to resource for downloading numerous radar and POI (Points of Interest) files for your GPS device. But that’s not all—here, you’ll find a supportive community ready to assist and share valuable tips. The site also offers a variety of tutorials. I enjoy covering topics I find useful and sharing my experiences with others.

The Beginning:

When I purchased my GPS device—a Medion GoPal 5 E4145—I experimented a bit and eventually figured out how to update radar and POI files using Warner Light. What started as a personal tool quickly evolved into something much larger, and I realized it could benefit others too! That’s why I launched this site to help everyone update their radar and POI data. Later, I even developed an Android app (which is no longer maintained due to lack of time).

Here, you’ll also find topics unrelated to GPS, such as my experiences with Android or guides on backing up a website or connecting network drives. In short, I aim to share what I know or have tested to help others.

I work in IT, so this site is built entirely in my free time. Please bear with me if responses are delayed or if I don’t reply immediately. Since 2019, I’ve been using automation tools, and since 2023, AI has assisted in creating some content to enhance the quality and relevance of the information available here.
