Speed Camera POIs for Nissan Connect – 2014 and Later Models

Find here the update files for fixed speed cameras, red light cameras, average speed cameras, and danger zones, updated monthly for free by the Lufop community and directly compatible with your Nissan Connect GPS’s native POI format.

Speed Camera Download (Nissan 2014 and Later Models):

This single file contains all European countries. You can then keep only the files for the country/countries you are interested in (see step 3 of the installation below).

Compatible Nissan Connect Vehicles (2014 and Later)

This speed camera database works with the second-generation Nissan Connect system, found notably on:

  • Nissan Qashqai (from 2014)
  • Nissan Micra
  • Nissan Note
  • Nissan Juke
  • Nissan X-Trail
  • Nissan Pulsar
  • Nissan Leaf

If your vehicle is older than 2014, the POI format differs: consult our Nissan Connect 2009-2013 page.

Installation (Nissan from 2014)

  1. Take an empty USB stick (it must be formatted to FAT or FAT32)
  2. Unzip the contents of the ZIP file to the root of the USB stick.
    (The “myPOIs” and “myPOIWarnings” directories will already be created. The files are contained within the “myPOIWarnings” directory.)
  3. In the “myPOIWarnings” directory, delete all files you are not interested in. It is recommended to keep only one country to avoid memory limitation issues.
    (CH* = Switzerland, FR* = France, BE* = Belgium…)
  4. Insert the USB stick into your vehicle’s USB port (Qashqai, Juke, X-Trail…)
  5. Wait a few seconds for Nissan Connect to detect the stick, then press “Load”
  6. If a “no audio files detected” message appears, see the “Additional Information” section below
  7. There is no visual loading confirmation (to check, go to the Navigation tab, next page, “My POIs”)
  8. Go to Setup > Navigation and verify that audible alerts (beep) are activated

Additional Information

When you insert the USB stick, a “no audio files detected” message may appear. You then need to go to GPS, then the next page, and click on “My POIs”: a “Do you want…?” message will appear, accept it to start loading the files. Wait a few minutes; at the end of the download, the “myPOIWarnings” folder will automatically display. Click on it: you will then find all speed cameras for Europe and France.

In Case of Problems

If your GPS does not load the files or the POIs are not visible after the operation, you can rename the CSV files by replacing spaces ” ” by hyphens “-” in the filenames. See the discussion here.

How often is the Nissan Connect 2014+ speed camera database updated?
Every month, for free, by the Lufop community.

Why does my GPS display “no audio files detected”?
This is normal for this generation of Nissan Connect. Go to GPS > next page > “My POIs” to manually start the loading (see the “Additional Information” section above).

Should I keep all countries from the Europe file?
No, it is recommended to keep only the file(s) for the country/countries you are interested in (e.g., FR* for France) to avoid memory limitations of the Nissan Connect system.

My Nissan is from 2012, is this file compatible?
No. For Nissan models released before 2014, use the files from the Nissan Connect 2009-2013 page, which are in a different format.

How do I know if the update was successful?
There is no confirmation message. Check the Navigation tab, next page, “My POIs”, to ensure the new speed cameras appear.
